Brighton Academy exists to…
TEACH students in an engaging environment with caring professional teachers that will
PREPARE them with developmentally appropriate, interactive curriculum so they can
GROW emotionally, socially, and academically and
DEVELOP a passion for serving our community and the world.
Brighton Academy was created by a parent to provide a school that utilizes research based curriculum, promote a love for community service, and encourages student growth through play and caring communication.
We are committed to providing a school for young children that is safe, clean, and age appropriate. Our classrooms give your children an experience that meets their needs emotionally, physically, and socially. It’s our privilege to be an active participant in your child’s social, emotional and educational development. Brighton Academy provides a loving environment that stimulates the imagination and compels our young students to explore and learn.
We desire to keep our parents connected to their children and what they are doing daily here at school. We utilize an app based program that provides parents with pictures and allows our staff to convey valuable information to our parents. Parents receive an email after checking their child out for the day that lists the child’s eating, sleeping, and potty behavior as well as curriculum notes.
Prepare & Grow
Beginning with our smallest students in our infant classrooms we utilize Frog Street curriculum to stimulate and engage your baby while encouraging sensory awareness, gross motor skill development, visual tracking, and language acquisition. Your baby will experience multi-sensory play activities that are developmentally appropriate to encourage physical, cognitive, language, and social emotional growth.
Once your child transitions to our toddler room they begin learning through Frog Street Toddler curriculum. The focus is on enhancing the simple joys in childhood and nurture curiosity through exploration. Frog Street Toddler includes a comprehensive classroom management and social-emotional component, Conscious Discipline, that creates a learning environment where children feel safe and loved. Children learn to reduce stress, engage appropriately with their classmates, and practice social skills, such as using kind words and helpful hands.

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’—Martin Luther King, Jr.
In addition to academic and social development, we believe that instilling a desire to serve others is a life long skill best learned in childhood. Through our “Brighton our Community” and “Brighton our World” campaigns we provide opportunities for our students and their families to look outside the walls of Brighton Academy and serve those in our community and our world. We participate in and host a variety of service events each year including the St Jude’s Trike-a-Thon, food and supply drives, and sending letters to veterans and service men and women. These are just a few examples of the many ways we give back at Brighton Academy.
